Centrally located in
Missouri's rugged
Ozark foothills with hundreds of acres of prime
natural habitat. Perfect for
trophy deer, rams, bull elk, turkey, wild hogs and exotic game.
Bound only by an endless
seven-mile perimeter,
our animals are free to retain
their natural instincts.
Free to roam and reproduce
uninterrupted, in an area divided only by the small springs
and ephemeral streams which
formed the bluegrass valleys
and wooded ridges of these mature
Ozark foothills.
If your trophy has eluded you
(remember, challenge is part of the adventure), pay only
for guide fees, permits,
home-cooked meals and relaxing accommodations offered with
Ozark style hospitality. Bring
your wife or a guest; non-hunters are equally as welcome,
and their stay made as equally
enjoyable. Bring a fishing pole when you come and enjoy

The greatest reservation of
the hunter
regarding a game ranch is the "fair chase" concept.
Is it sporting to hunt game on a
fenced ranch? I would say that if the fence precluded
the escape of the animal, it is
not "fair chase."
"Having been to Africa on
numerous occasions, I have always been amazed at the tameness of
several species of game". Does
this mean that the hunter should not hunt African game or a
Fallow Deer in Pennsylvania,
Texas, or Missouri? On the other hand, Aoudad Sheep on a
game ranch can be as tough to
take as Dall Sheep in the mountains of Alaska.
Also, a point to ponder is the high cost of North American and African hunting.
While a good outfitter
never guarantees you game, the outfitter still must be paid
as he has a large investment in
his operation.
The next item to comtemplate
is the
time you will have to spend away from work.
While this is not a major
obstacle to some, others have but limited time.
We recommend a minimum of two
days to hunt your game at our ranch.
While we do not guarantee game,
we do have a policy of NO GAME! NO PAY!

Now is the time to plan your
fall/winter hunt for trophy bull elk.
The elk are here! We have a
breeding program in which we are continually
changing genetics to build
larger trophy animals for you, the trophy hunter. Last season
we culled 65 bull elk from the
herds: one 10 x 8 Monarch, seven 6 x 6 Royals,
eight 5 x 5's, one 4 x 4, one 3 x
3, and one non-typical.
We have 3 x 3 bulls to Royal 6
x 6 and 7 x 7 Imperials and, on occasion, we have the 8 x 8 Monarch.
It is our plan to reduce our
numbers this season (September through March)
by 50 bulls on a first come,
first serve basis.
We had 100% sucess for the
last 19
years. Who else can claim this?
The longest hunt was three days
for a 10 x 8 Monarch bull.
This magnificent animal was taken
by a lady hunter.
On rare occasions we have to
hunt by horseback, but normally it is by 4 x 4 with a final stalk on
foot.
Your guide will expertly skin
your trophy and quarter your meat.
And, MISSOURI'S HUNTING PERMIT
FEE IS ONLY $5.00 FOR THREE DAYS!
CWD FREE - No Game No Pay
The prices listed below are
approximate and vary with each bull hunted.

North America's deer,
particularly the Whitetail with a world of some 15 million, are
collectively our most common and
most widespread game animals. Yet, they are enigmatic
in that it is difficult to obtain
really fine trophies of any of the four on this continent.
Two reasons for this are:
First, because they are so common and so many have been taken,
it takes a really superlative
animal to meet the minimums for the Safari Club International or
any other record book. Second,
deer are hunted hard across most of their range. They are
a classic example of "management
for quantity." Antler growth is dependent upon good
minerals, good food sources, and
good genetics. Few areas produce top quality racks, and
in even fewer areas is hunting
pressure light enough to allow a significant
number of bucks to reach full
maturity.
Whitetail deer, our most
common game,
is perhaps the most difficult trophy to obtain.
While good whitetail have been
found across most of their broad range, the trophy hunter
needs to look for areas which
have been only lightly hunted
and/or have been managed for
trophy quality on private land.
The ranch follows a program of
continually changing the genetics, providing a never-ending supply of
minerals, and growing the deer's
own food in a natural state. Our goal, like a few of the better
ranches, is the growth of "Mega Bucks" carrying a minimum of 8 to 12
points with widths
up to 28+ inches.
Naturally, all of our deer are
not "Mega Bucks." We also have trophy deer having 8 to 10 points
minimum with a width just short
of 16 inches. Any deer under this is normally protected from
hunting until he reaches
maturity. However, some deer, while majestic in stature, will never fit
into
our breeding program. These deer
are available from time to time at less than reasonable cost.
We also have a small herd of snow
white bucks with brown eyes.
These animals are rarer than
albinos.
$5.00 licese cost!!

The WILD BOAR is native to
both Europe
and Asia. For purposes of sport hunting,
they have been introduced in
North, Central, and South America. The wild boar is a
challenge to hunt. Though boars
have poor eyesight, they possess keen senses ofsmelling and hearing.
A muscular animal, boar rely on
their speed as well as their wits to evade hunters.
The sharp tusks of the wild
boar are used to search out food, uprooting everything from
tubers and roots to small animals
and snakes. These powerful tusks, which literally
bulldoze through an area of
ground, are also formidable weapons,
sometimes reaching nine inches in
length.
We are one of the few ranches
to have the Russian boar. Our pure strains have grown huge
in size, weighing from 200 to 550
pounds, with tusks that may protrude four inches.
We also have the famed Razorback
hogs that weigh between 200 and 350 pounds.
Both should prove to be exciting
for the experienced and the
novice hunter alike. Razorbacks
are domestic hogs that have gone wild. Razorbacks can
be brown, black, white or
spotted. Our javelina (Peccary) usually weigh 45 to 60 pounds.
Some of our guests who are
familiar with hunting wild hogs (usually from previous
hunting in the southern part of
the country) may find that hog hunting
at our ranch is a totally new
experience.
All hunting at our ranch is
done by stalking the game on foot. We do not use horses
because they tend to flush the
game too far afield. We also do not use dogs, as theytend to
attack each hog that they come
upon. This is very hard on the dog (due to bloodloss from wounds
and cuts inflicted by the hog)
and it does not allow the hunter to be selective with his hunting.
The boar, being BUILT LIKE A
SHERMAN TANK, you will want to bring the biggest
caliber rifle or pistol you
have, and bowhunters bring plenty of arrows.
They have a thick hide and are as
tough as a Sherman tank. They can be killed
clean, if hit in the proper
areas. We recommend the lung area, the hog will go
twenty-five yards and drop.
Shoulder areas are armor plate and you
will probably just wound him to
die many days later.
You may camp ($10 per night)
or stay
at our carpeted lodge which has a fireplace.
You are served three delicious
meals a day and you will literally waddle away from the table.
Separate bedrooms and bath, card
room, and all the videos a person would want.
This is not your typical crude
hunting lodge. You will be pleased you came.
Bring your wife or girlfriend,
they will enjoy it as well.
Plan on a two-day hunt, that's
all. If you bag out in one day, you may leave
early with no charge for the
second day.
Most hunters who have been
with us
at the ranch find that our philosophy of hunting wild hogs
is far more exciting and
rewarding than anything they have experienced before.
